Let's go, batches!

Unlike what the title suggests, this post is not about batches of cookies, not even about the batches of invoices we use at work. For as of the first of January in O-thirteen, I will be leaving the plethora of bitchin' buttloads of 'batches' of bills to my dear sweet soon-to-be-ex-colleagues, because I'm o-w-t, OUT! "But wait Mike, there's more!" Why stop there? How about I not only leave my current job, I could also move into a different house...in a different city...with different people, but good lord, NO H&M >:#
Buttttt, this is not just any move. I will be living with the guy (and his 2 cats!) I love so very very very very very very VERY much! I cannot even begin to tell you how much he means to me, how adorable he (and yes, his cats too) are, and and how hot I think he is ;-)

Saying goodbye to my friends at work is going to be tough, they have really become close to me, and I consider them family, but bidding my little castle farewell is going to be a little tougher... A month shy of 6 years I've lived here, and have an abundance of memories I will be taking with me!

My beloved kitchen chalkboard which I will have to leave behind, and my silly sister and I goofing off in the kitchen, which in many cases ended in tears. Of laughter.
My living room.
My living room: a place where friends and cupcakes UNITED!

Pretty in pink!

The things I think I'll miss the most is not only my appartment, but also the possiblities and options I have here, like: Deciding on a whim to jump on my bike to my best friend Jolanda's house and impromptu sleepovers, or last minute change of plans and go into town (Den Haag), and the 'sister weekends' I'd have with my sister Sytje, where we would stay up watching scary movies, head into town (again) the next day, and then continue the weekend with even more movies.
I'll miss the "forrest" (it's tiny, but it counts!), the petting zoo, the trees, the wild parakeets that have become fully adapted to the climate here near the coast, the beaches... It's all so much, and come to think of it, Rijswijk is the longest place I've lived in my life.

Sjees & Co (Soon to be step-brothers to my cats. Please note that Co, the buff one in front loves, no, ADORES the shower).
A pretty piece of Gorinchem.

But the time really has come to move forward, and there isn't anyone else I'd rather do it with than with my sweetheart Marnix. As hard as this decision seems, many more great things are waiting for me (us), and many more memories are to be made. And after all, Gorinchem is but an hour away from everyone I love.

My favorite person in Gorinchem, seen here cleaning my feet after worshipping the ground I walk on.

                                                                       To be continued...!
