RE: this girl

A while ago my best friend and THE (pronounce: 'thee") best friend a person can wish for, made a blog especially pour moi. The wench made me cry, so I figured, since she and her family will be leaving for the USA within a matter of days, it's payback time.

Allow me to introduce this girl:

I have known this girl not only since we moved to Holland, but also in the life we had before this one. I love this girl. I love her pretty blue eyes and her funky thumbs. I love her sense of humour and her eloquent way with words. I love how she's introducing me to new music and movies, and that she too knows the lyrics to 'Alberquerque' by Weird Al, and that she has a beautiful voice to sing it with. I love how she knows how to pick me up whenever I'm feeling down; before I know it I'm crying tears of laughter. I love that even though we're 29+ we still do screaming contests. I love our freakish (and sometimes spooky) timing when speaking the exact same words and/or wearing practically the same outfit, and how this girl loves to knit. I love her family and kids, and love that shortly I will have another home away from home, in Utah. Most of all, I love to love this girl. Karina, I love your stinkin' guts too.

Emo like me.

Yes, I confess, I have been away far too long again. And I'll also confess to this: it's because a great deal has been going on...then again, when is there ever nothing going on, like, zip, zero, zilch?
But there's no getting around it once you've found your 'passion' for writing, and finally remember that it actually can be therapeutic at times. So here I am, ready to spill my guts for all of you to read.

So, the title kinda gives it away, and I'm not afraid to say that I can be a total cry baby at times, and have to be ware of not crossing over to the emo-side. But, in my defence: people can be big old meanies!
To keep myself (sorta) sane I like to roam the internet, looking for pretty pictures, possibly with quotes that are fitting for the moment. Music, I have found out, is taboo when I feel the emo in me try to take over.

Dress to impress.

For the last few weeks I've been having a real hard time coping with the weather here in Holland, it's so depressing. We've had a couple of nice weeks and then all of a sudden people were wearing coats and scarves. It's like Hell is freezing over.

I need the sun. It's summer (or supposed to be), and that's the time of the year you expect to enjoy it the most. I want it to be hotter than the fiery depths of Hell!!! I want to consider cutting my hair off cause it's so damn hot that it feels like I'm wearing a woolen blanket on my head! I want to wear these wonderful dresses without a jacket/vest/raincoat/snowsuit over them!

But, since I refuse to let the crappy climate dictate my outfits, I will be wearing these dresses with a vest and/or legging. And I'll pretend it was my idea all along.
