Didn't you get the memo?

I absolutely love the movie "Office Space". For anyone who has spent as much as a nano second at an office, you will see the resemblences. One might even think the whole movie was a montage of actual footage.

Many of you might not know that I am currently looking for a job. An office one.

I have a pretty long list of jobs I've done in the past. I have worked at a toy store, clothing store, jewelry store, several receptionist jobs, I've worked at a few city halls, a courthouse and even at the Immigration office.
Apart from the store jobs, "office space-esque" issues are found everywhere. Printers/faxes that refuse to work, bosses whoms soul purpose is to wander around the whole day taking away peoples Swingline staplers, that one annoying colleague, the special needs colleague, I've even had the misfortune to encounter a few "Bob's". 'Now why would I want to work at an office?' I've asked myself. And the reasons are these:

And for motivational purposes I leave you with this:

Yeahhh, I'm gonna have to go ahead and ask you to keep an eye out for job openings at Initech.

Hair today...gone tomorrow?

The Sutherland sisters.

So, everytime I wash my hair, I begin contemplating on whether or not I should cut my hair.
Before you start declaring me a long-haired lunatic, hear me out. I've weighed the pros and cons:

Pros:
*I would save enough money on shampoo and conditioner to feed a small country.
*I wouldn't have to wash it twice (even at the hairdressers they can't seem to weave their fingers through my hair to get to my scalp), thus saving water.
*It wouldn't take a day and a half to dry (without a blowdryer).
*I might even be able to wear it up without getting a neck- and headache.
*Should I ever turn grey (yeah right) it would be cheaper to color...theoretically.

Cons:
*My sister/niece/friends will kill me.
*I have had shorter hair, and in the longrun, long hair is much less of a hassle.
*My arms won't get their work-out.
*Pretty much opposite of all the 'pros' I named.

Which now leaves me with this list of pros and cons:

So I turned my attention to teh intarwebz to get some inspiration:
When all else fails...
Loving the sideburn dreads.
Chi-chi-chi-chia pet-do.
The shingle-do.
For those "I feel like a cloud is hanging over me" days.

Pick one, thrice a fail. Great song though.

I feel like watching 'Dumb&Dumber' all of a sudden...
Good ideas so far, right? But then I found some other pics that have fully convinced me to not chop my hair off:

Especially those last 2 photos really did it for me (even if extensions were used), and I figured that the work and effort is totally worth it in the end. Therefore I shall continue with the goal I had set a few years ago: to see how long I can grow my hair. Now if only I could find the Sutherland sisters' phone number for tips...

Life of Liz: OST

You ever have those moments that you think: they should really film my life? And if so, what category movie would it be?

I like to think mine would be caught between comedy, drama and horror. Not necessarily in that order. Actually, I think I could fit practically every aspect of my life in every category, sci-fi and and anime included.

Anyhoo, I came up with a list of songs that I would like to see on the original soundtrack of "the never ending story" that is my life. Since there are just soooo many songs/vids that would fit on my OST, I narrowed it down to these 10, shown in random order.

A list of inspirations is to follow shortly!

Illuminated - Hurts

Take a Bow - Muse

 Possibility - Lykke Li

Anyone else but you - The Moldy Peaches

Peaches - Presidents of the United States of America

Coming around again - Simon Webbe

Standing in the way of control - The Gossip

Disco Volante (aka "that song that sorta sounds like the Zelda tune") - Ida Engberg

The Scientist - Coldplay

And of course, no list would be complete without a little Wayne's World (and Queen):

Party on Wayne, Party on Garth!!
